My Studies: Ailments are hindering my studies: What should I do?
If you suffer from a physical or mental disability that hinders your participation in everyday life at the University and/or your study progress, please contact Team "Barrierefrei (Accessible Studies). Here at the department we show consideration for your individual situation in the best possible way, but we can only guarantee an alternative mode of assassment if an application is submitted via Team Barrierefrei!
If you have any concerns, at first please contact the person directly responsible at the department (course instructor, supervisor, library, secretariat, etc.). If you have any problems or concerns here, please contact the SSU or our Students' Representatives. If no direct solution can be found, or if there is a problem directly involving the progress of your studies (participation in courses, exams, graduation, etc.), please submit an application via Team Barrierefrei for your protection and ours.
If you have fallen victim to a circumstance that severely or completely hinders your study progress (accident, illness - personal or relatives, employment, etc.) consider a leave of absence! This way your semester count will not continue. Further supervision of your final thesis (MA, PhD) at the department is possible despite the leave of absence.
